Born in 1972 in Kluang, Johor, and now residing in Kuala Lumpur, I’ve always been driven by a deep love for music and poetry. Although I am not a musician, I’ve found my voice through a paintbrush instead. My work is an attempt to express on canvas what I wish I could play—capturing the atmosphere and mood of a moment much like a favorite song.
I started painting out of boredom during the 2021 lockdowns and quickly found it to be a profound therapeutic outlet. My paintings are less about the "details" and more about the feeling of a scene, a practice I’ve maintained ever since those early days of the pandemic.
When I am not at my easel, you’ll likely find me at home at my record player or browsing for vinyl in a record store. I am also an avid amateur mentalist and occasionally perform as Jeff Gan. Whether through a brush, a record, or a psychological puzzle, I am always looking for a way to slow down and find beauty in the ordinary.
