I am Jeff Gan, a Malaysian artist painting under the signature J.F. Gan.

To be honest, I’ve always wished I could play music, but try as I might, I am so musically untalented I couldn’t hum a tune to save my life. 

So, I paint.

For me, the canvas is where I search for that same sense of release and "flow" a musician feels when they hit the right note—though I’ve proven to be quite adept at picking the "wrong" notes on a canvas, too. I traded the fretboard for the brush, focusing on telling stories and tall tales.
